Mazdutide is a dual agonist at GLP-1 and glucagon receptors.

What GLORY-1 studied

The 2025 GLORY-1 report studied 610 adults in China with obesity or overweight and a related condition. In a 48-week placebo-controlled trial, both mazdutide groups had greater average weight reduction than placebo. Innovent funded the study. This population, trial formulation and follow-up period define the scope of its findings.

Safety and geographical scope

Gastrointestinal events were most frequent and usually mild or moderate. Some participants stopped treatment because of adverse events. These findings do not establish every long-term or rare risk.

Innovent announced Chinese NMPA approval for chronic weight management in June 2025. That manufacturer announcement concerns China and does not establish Australian or U.S. approval, or equivalence of online products.
